In 2018, I started Mystery School with Sir Michael Rocks. What began solely as a music project evolved into a fully-fledged interactive late night show.
We covered news that our community submitted and made songs based on topics our viewers selected in under 30 minutes each night. I think we made 200+ of these songs, and most of them are cursed.
Mystery School was regularly featured on the front page of Twitch, and we accumulated ~7 million live views in about three years.
In addition to co-hosting the show, I was also the full-time creative and technical producer. I built infrastructure that let us record music live over the internet with under 10 milliseconds of latency, and maintained a ton of networked assets to do the show live each night. At this point, I am an OBS expert.
Amazon Prime Video, Twitch, and Outside Lands Music Festival paid me to help with a mixture of everything above.
MS is on hiatus for now, but we think it’ll be back someday.
